Google Earth - Museo del Prado

In the middle of the year 2008 the spanish company "mad Pixelfactory" photographed 14 of the most famous paintings of the Museo del Prado for the company group Google in high resolution format of totally 14 gigapixels and by that conserved them for eternity. The project has been initiated by the Google worker Clara Rivera-Rodriguez, who always have had the vision of bringing the art to every single user.

The Rodeon VR Head  also in this case facilitated a precise and stable picture, and resisted to the enormous loads lasting for days without exception. Thus all 14 pictures could become digitized within shortest time. This indi-cates the enormous flexibility, the rapid adaptility, onto the respective motive and the high capturing rate of the system.

Prado director Miguel Zugaza expressed during the presentation, that this realism "universalizes" our knowledge of the masterpieces and gives researchers, teachers and art lovers a unique instrument into their hand.
