Rodeon VR head at GoogleEarth

A few days ago Google España integrated fourteen of the most important paintings of the renowned spanish national gallery "Museo Nacional del Prado" as high resoluted zoomable images into a new and ad hoc developed layer on the Google Earth platform.

For the acquisition procedure of those thousands of images, out of which the stitched representation of the respective painting has been computed afterwards, the Rodeon Modular came into operation, without whose help the project had consumed a much higher amount of time, or might have been impossible at all due to the requirements on precision.

As already in the past, the capabilities of the Rodeon Modular Series showed up again in an impressive manner.

Improved HDRI support in Rodeon Modular

The already contained support for capturing series of images for an afterward HDRI calculation, which has been implemented since the first releases of Rodeon Modular, has now been improved with the current release version 2.4.2.

The exposure times are now not constant anymore, but are doubled between each trigger release, beginning at the shortest up to the longest entered exposure time. Hereby the capture time is reduced and the productivity is increased significantly.

In addition our controlling software is now able to communicate directly with the software "Breeze Remote Pro" which is specialized on HDRI, and thus achieve a nearly unlimited dynamic range.
