- The extra-robust turntable for heavy objects |
The precision recording turntable „JumboDrive“ is an universal usable and transportable precision turn drive for the recording of especially large and heavy objects with a base diameter until about 0,70 cm and a mass until 200 kg.
Main applications are:

optical removal of object surfaces with line scan camera or matrix camera
The drive with a stocky step-motor in combination with a multistage gear allows a high-precision and smooth movement of the objects. The turntable is controlled by a handy PDA or a Notebook-PC releasing the camera every time in the right position.
To show the high driving precision of our „JumboDrive“ a cylinder with stripes was recorded by a line camera.
The object edges in the removal were extended so much that one can see the single pixel.
With this technique every small inaccuracy of the drive is visible as a distortion of the diagonal lines. But with the JumboDrive you can see no distortion, as the extension of the detail of 0,5 gegree shows. This detail corresponds to 1/43.000 (!) of the whole area.
The scope of delivery also includes the third-party software Object2VR as full functioning evaluation version (Trial) with embedded watermark. With this software, the recorded image series can be automatically converted into an interactive object movie!
